ZapICD
New! Version 2.3 with the New 2005 ICD code set.
We've added an indexed key word search of over 7,000 terms for lightning fast searches. This index is equivalent to Volume II of the ICD-9-CM publication.
You now have the equivalent of both Volume I and Volume II on your Palm handheld!
ZapICD is a handy reference to the complete set of ICD codes and it has an easy to use search engine.
ZapICD also contains an advanced ICD searching technique that works by using the ICD Major Categories, Sub-Categories, and Three-Digit Categories that correspond to the organization of the printed ICD manuals. You may already be familiar with this search organization.
Choose a Major Category and you will see a list of Sub-Categories for this Major Category. These Sub-Categories are also defined in the ICD9 manual.
Choose
a Sub-Category and you will then be presented with a list of
Three-Digit ICD Categories for this Sub-Category. (If the library
doesn't have any three-digit codes, you can just skip to the next
step.)
Finally,
when you choose a Three-Digit category, you will see a screen
listing all of the codes starting at the three-digit code you
selected.
You can also use the "Find" button to search by code number or to look for text in the description.
